Heading into the 2023 college football season, Ohio State Buckeyes star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has established himself as the clear top wide receiver in the country. But former Ohio State quarterback Urban Meyer thinks he’s more than just the nation’s top receiver – he thinks he’s the nation’s best overall player.

During an appearance The Hard Count with J.D. PicKell, Meyer revealed that he thinks Marvin Harrison Jr. is “the best player in college football” and that he thought the same thing last year.

“I think Marvin Harrison Jr. is the best player in college football, I thought he was last year,” Meyer said during his appearance on the show according to On3. “You know, he should have been in New York for the Heisman. And when he got hurt in the Georgia game, it changed.”

Harrison will be absolutely vital to the Buckeyes this upcoming season as the team transitions to a new starting quarterback after the departure of star quarterback C.J. Stroud.

It’s worth noting that if Kyle McCord wins the starting quarterback job in Columbus, he and Harrison have quite a lot of history as they played their entire high school careers together before signing with Ohio State in the same recruiting class.
