UPDATE 03/31/2023: The Columbus Police Department (CPD) identified the Urban Avenue shooting victim on Friday.
According to CPD, responding officers found the victim, 36-year-old Ernest Brooks, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities transported Brooks to Piedmont Columbus Regional for further treatment; CPD says Brooks is “still hospitalized in critical condition.”
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Columbus Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 3000 block of Urban Avenue.
According to the Columbus Police Department, one person was injured during the shooting, and the victim’s condition is unknown at this time.
