One of the biggest factors in Miami's success has been Jasmyne Roberts. She had 26 points and nine rebounds against the Wildcats and helped her team take a late lead.

In just her second season at the helm, Kim Mulkey has led LSU to its best NCAA Tournament run since 2008, when the Tigers were defeated in the Final Four.

Four freshmen and five transfers, along with Alexis Morris, the only player remaining from the 2021-22 roster, have made the Tigers an athletic, quick, skilled and physical team.

Angel Reese has been the star since transferring from Maryland. She has averaged 25.3 points, 17 rebounds, 4 blocks and 1.8 steals in the Tigers' three NCAA Tournament games. According to Slam, she is the only player (NBA, WNBA, men's or women's NCAA Division I) in the past 20 seasons to have 76 points, 51 rebounds, 12 blocks and seven steals over a three-game span.
