Mizzou’s Pingeton picks up commitment from 6-foot-5 forward

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou women's basketball coach Robin Pingeton added some much-needed height to her roster on Tuesday afternoon, as a 6-foot-5 forward from Croatia committed to the Tigers.

Lucija Milkovic will be an incoming freshman in the 2023-24 season and will already be the tallest player on the roster. That title was previously held by 6-foot-4, Jefferson City alum Micah Linthacum.

Milkovic has played for team Sibenki in the Croatai-Premijer Liga from 2019 to 2023. Last season, she averaged about six points and five rebounds in an average of 18 minutes per game.

Her 56.8 percent field goal average was the highest on the Sibenki team.

With Milkovic's commitment, Pingeton has a few off season pickups, including former UMass forward Angelique Ngalakulondi and former Evansville forward Abby Feit.
