Power restored at neighborhood near Cosmo Park in Columbia

A few power outages were reported Monday in the neighborhood west of Cosmo Park in Columbia after four fuses blew, according to a city utility spokesman.

Columbia City Utility spokesman Matt Nestor told ABC 17 News that three fuses blew in the area. The first fuse affected 253 customers, the second affected 20 and the third was 19.

The first outage – on Stadium Boulevard -- was reported at 3 p.m., according to city online records. The outage on Stadium appears to have been resolved as of 4:20 p.m. The second outage was on Primrose Drive. Online records showed the outage was resolved before 5 p.m.

After those issues were resolved, at 4:55 p.m., another fuse blew in the area, which affected 44 customers, according to Nestor. That outage was reported near Valleyview Park, according to online records.

Nestor said that outage was restored within an hour.

According to city online records, there was no outage by 5:36 p.m.
