The 86th Annual Coleman PRCA Rodeo kicks off tonight (Thursday) at the Coleman Rodeo Grounds, located on Highway 206 on the south side of Coleman.  The rodeo, brought to you by GameGuard in the Coleman County State Bank Arena, features more than 465 cowboys and cowgirls from across the nation competing followed by live music all three nights.

T.C. Long from Athens, Texas is the rodeo announcer while professional rodeo clown and barrel man “Backflip” Johnny Dudley of Denton, Texas will be entertaining and keeping everyone laughing.

Making his first appearance and performing nightly at the Coleman rodeo is  4-Time PRCA Dress Act of the Year, the Bobby Kerr Mustang Act.  Kerr has a career rich in western heritage that spans over 45 years and spends most of his time on the rodeo and horse show circuit demonstrating how usable, trainable, and amazing American Mustangs are.

For the 4th time in the past 5 years, Coleman Rodeo was nominated for Rodeo of the Year Honors in the PRCA Medium Size Rodeo category. The award was presented during the PRCA Awards Banquet just before the start of the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas earlier this year.
