Colchester police are investigating after they say a boy was hit by a car Saturday at 3:23 p.m. at the intersection of Blakely Road and West Lakeshore Drive.
The boy was transported to the UVM Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the car was traveling southbound on West Lakeshore Drive toward Blakely Road when the boy crossed the road from the lake side in front of the vehicle. Officials say the intersection is controlled by a traffic control signal and that witnesses say the driver had a green light.
Officials say there's no evidence that speed or impairment are factors in this crash.
