The dining scene in Brevard continues to grow.
From Ramen to wine, Mexican to Japanese, there are plenty of options to pick from. The new restaurants also are spanning the county, beachside to mainland.
Wondering where you’ll be eating this weekend? We’ll give you a sampling of some of the new Space Coast dining spots to try.
5475 Lorkey Lane, Viera
The two-story, rooftop wine bar has been a much-anticipated addition to Viera. While the first floor is a lounge-type space, the second floor includes expansive windows and two open-air, covered patios, allowing diners a beautiful place to eat and drink.
Owner Rich Abbruscato and his wife, Nancy, did extensive market research before opening their latest business venture. Venezia Wine Veranda officially opened its doors this week.
“We have something for everyone,” Abbruscato said during a soft opening last week. “We have something for anyone on a budget or someone who is a wine snob.”
There are 120 wines to try. Guests purchase a wine card, which starts at $30, and then go to self-dispensing wine machines where there are three size options to select from. Many one-ounce options are less than $2.
A tapas-style menu also offers plates like flatbread, lobster mac and cheese and charcuterie. There are plans to add wine tasting classes.
63 N. Orlando Ave., Cocoa Beach
This is a pop-up restaurant currently located at Booch Bar Beach. Born and raised in Cocoa Beach, chef and owner Daniel Penovich is offering diners a true Japanese breakfast.
“This isn’t just pancakes and eggs,” Penovich said. “This is fine dining done in a 13-course meal.”
The dining experience begins with a welcome tea. The bulk of the meal is a six-compartment bento box. There’s also soup, rice and dessert.
Breakfast seatings are Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. Reservations are required. Breakfast will continue through May and then there will be a break in June. Service will hopefully continue in July.
Penovich said even though there are 13 courses, the meal flows nicely and takes about an hour to complete. Cost is $58, which includes tax and tip.
Thursdays through Sundays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Penovich offers different noodle bowls for those seeking dinner.
2994 West New Haven Ave., West Melbourne
You’ll find traditional ramen at this new West Melbourne spot. The menu includes items like kakuni ramen, tonkotsu and curry ramen.

8260 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne
Located in the former Uno Pizzeria and Grill, this new restaurant offers another option for diners in the Suntree area.
The extensive menu includes poke nachos, truffle poutine, smothered fried chicken and plenty more. There also are plenty of craft cocktails and beers on tap that change often. This locally owned restaurant also has outdoor patio dining and has various different events, including live music.
