Cocoa Beach police are investigating a traffic crash that claimed the life of a Cape Canaveral man on Sunday.

A 38-year-old Cape Canaveral motorcyclist was killed in a traffic crash involving a pickup truck early Sunday in Cocoa Beach.
It was the 24th fatal crash involving a motorcycle reported in Brevard since January, records show.
The crash happened about 5:37 a.m. in the 400 block of State Road 520, Cocoa Beach police reported.
The driver of the pickup, a 39-year-old man from Rockledge, was not injured. The motorcyclist, who was not identified, struck the rear of the pickup truck as both vehicles were traveling eastbound on State Road 520.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, police reported.
An investigation is ongoing.
