A few strong storms this evening; a cooler, more comfortable week ahead
This week will bring a much-needed break from last week’s heat and humidity. The cooler, more comfortable weather from this past weekend will continue through much of the week, with highs mainly in the 70s. On top of that, scattered off and on shower and thunderstorm chances will return as early as later today into tonight. A better chance for scattered rain and thunderstorms will arrive Tuesday night into Wednesday. Scattered rain chances will continue into the weekend, but that will not mean a washout. There will still be plenty of dry time and some sunshine between a few passing showers or thunderstorms.

A great stretch of weather ahead
What a difference a day makes! It was a lot cooler out there today, with most of us stuck in the 60s. It is a big change after the temperatures we have had over the last three weeks. From May 24th through June 10th, we averaged a high of 84.4°, which is the 3rd warmest on record for that 18-day stretch. The record is 87.7° and that was set back in 1988. Temperatures will stay in the 60s for the rest of the day and scattered showers will come to an end around 5pm. An isolated thunderstorm will be possible, but nothing severe.

Cooler/breezy Thursday ahead with showers
It is another hot/muggy day out there, but the cold front is moving through, and that is going to lead to some big changes for tomorrow. The severe threat for the rest of today will be east of I-35, but an isolated storm will still be possible west of I-35. However, just about all of us will stay sunny without a drop of rain. Behind the cold front, we have some much cooler weather on the way for the next several days into early next week.
