Clovis man accused of drug trafficking found guilty, awaits sentence

CLOVIS, N.M. — Fifty-three-year-old David Brown of Clovis was found guilty of Trafficking of a Controlled Substance on Friday in a Curry County courtroom, according to a press release from the Ninth Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

The press release said Brown was arrested after he was found with 10 grams of methamphetamines, black tar heroin, Xanax and Fentanyl pills during a home visit conducted by officers from the Adult Probation and Parole Office.

Following the guilt verdict, Brown was “immediately” taken into custody. The press release said the 53-year-old would be sentenced at a later date.
