CLOVIS, Calif. (FOX26) — A suspect is now on the run after officers say they stole from DICK’S Sporting Goods in Clovis.

According to the Clovis Police Department, officers were called regarding someone stealing from the sporting goods store around 7:20 p.m.
Officers say they were following the suspect, but a collision occurred between a Clovis police vehicle and another driver unrelated to the incident near Highway 168 and Shaw. It’s currently unclear as to who hit who prior to the crash.
No injuries were reported among those involved in the crash but one person in the other vehicle mentioned a complaint of pain.
As for the suspect, officers say they got away but lost their bumper on the freeway.
The incident remains under investigation and officials do not believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
