A 73-year-old woman was working on an arts and crafts project inside her Clifton home when police say two men, one armed with a gun, entered, bound her with duct tape and ransacked the house. Police are seeking the public's help to find the men.

The Clifton Police Department responded to the home on Linden Avenue on Sunday and found the woman on the floor, bound at the ankles and wrists, with her mouth covered. She told police she was in the kitchen when the men entered and at first thought they were family members.

The men were dressed in all black, possibly wearing surgical masks, and they used the woman's own duct tape, police said. They allegedly stole an "undetermined" number of valuables before leaving the house.

The woman was able to remove the tape from her mouth and eventually retrieved her phone from her pocket to call 911.

Police believe the act was random. Anyone with information is urged to call the Clifton Police Detective Bureau at 973-470-5908.
