CLEVELAND (WJW) — Three teens are now in police custody, charged in the shooting death of a young mother last month.

Cuyahoga County sheriff’s deputies late last month arrested 19-year-old Trinity Ford along Drexel Avenue in the murder of 26-year-old Antwoina Carter, the FOX 8 I-Team reported . She’s now charged with murder and felonious assault.

Two other suspects were arrested in the past week, according to a Monday news release from a county spokesperson:

  • The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force apprehended 18-year-old Christopher Stinson on Wednesday, April 17, along Euclid Avenue. He now faces charges including aggravated murder.
  • Task force agents also arrested 19-year-old Lashuwdre Coleman along Richmond Road in Euclid. He’s now charged with murder.

Carter was killed in the early morning of March 10 while in a car, struck by gunfire investigators said came from another car being driven by Ford. It happened near the intersection of East 105th Street and Garfield Avenue in Cleveland.

Cleveland police officers were there, outside Carter’s home, investigating a 911 call from a woman identifying herself as Carter, who said she was being threatened. When shots rang out, police opened fire. Police video shows someone leaning out of a car and shooting at another car.

The other vehicle crashed, and police found Carter on the ground nearby.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner ruled Carter’s death was caused by a gunshot wound to her trunk, but that it did not come from police.

Investigators determined the other car was Ford’s and that she had a gun with her. They also accused her of lying to police, according to court records.

Ford is currently being held on a $1 million bond and is due back in court on May 7.

Stinson’s bond was also set at $1 million. He’s set for a preliminary hearing on Monday, April 29.
