Trio of Browns players robbed in three separate incidents

Three different Cleveland Browns players have been robbed in recent days in three separate incidents.

It was first reported by Brandon Little of Browns Digest that running back/wide receiver Demetric Felton had his car stolen on Sunday from a parking garage in Cleveland. Per Little, Felton said he thinks that somebody "followed him into his parking garage and stole the car after he parked it."

Little then reported on Sunday night that cornerback Greg Newsome II was robbed of his vehicle at gunpoint. According to the report, the carjacking occurred at Filter Experience on West Superior Avenue in Cleveland.

Newsome II appeared to allude to the incident in a Twitter post late Sunday night.

Little reported on the third robbery late Sunday, writing that an unnamed player was robbed of his car and some jewelry. He added that with the latest news, it's now a "clear vision that Browns players are being targeted for their belongings."

Both Felton and Newsome were 2021 draft picks of the Browns, with the former getting selected in the sixth round out of UCLA and the latter being taken in the first round at 26th overall out of Northwestern.

Felton received significantly more playing time as a rookie, seeing 201 snaps on special teams and 130 more on offense across 16 games, while playing just 49 special teams snaps and 74 offensive snaps in 2022 over eight games. He posted 604 all-purpose yards in 2021 (227 on punt returns and 181 receiving), while finishing with two receiving scores as well.

Despite being limited to 12 games in his rookie year, Newsome finished third on the team in passes defended (nine). He played 15 games in 2022 and finished fourth on the squad in passes defended with six.
