CLEVELAND, Ohio – Three people were injured Saturday morning in a shooting at a convenience store on the city’s East Side.

The shooting happened at 8 a.m. Saturday at USA Food Mart, located on East 123rd Street, south of Phillips Avenue, said Cleveland police Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia, the department spokeswoman.

Two women were wounded in the incident. One woman was shot in the stomach, and the other one was shot in the ankle, police said. Paramedics transported them to University Hospitals.

A man who was shot in his side arrived at University Hospitals in a private vehicle, according to police.

Police did not provide an update on the condition of the victims or say if any arrests have been made as of Saturday afternoon.

This is the second shooting with three or more victims on East 123rd Street this week. On Wednesday, a 31-year-old woman was fatally shot, and three others were wounded in the 400 block of East 123rd Street.
