Skies will remain clear through the night as cooler air moves in for the rest of the weekend … and 8 day forecast! Smoke was creating quite the picture this evening and may also bring a fiery sunrise Sunday.

Breezy northeast winds continue Sunday. Gusts up to 30mph possible.

Because of these conditions, there is a Small Craft advisory in place for Lake Erie and there is also a Beach Hazard statement due to high risk of rip currents. Not the best weekend for the water!

Relief from the 80s next week. Temperatures rather comfortable. Open your windows and let the fresh air flow but keep watering … no soakers in the forecast anytime soon.

Here is the latest 8-Day Forecast:

It’s been two weeks since our last rainfall at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The longest stretch of consecutive dry days was from September 30 to Oct. 26, 1963. The next 8 days are looking pretty dry.

It’s not just Ohio that is dry. Much of the Midwest is almost running a 2-3″ rainfall deficit over the last 30 days.
