Cleveland woman attempts to steal $586 worth of groceries: Brooklyn Police Blotter

BROOKLYN, Ohio

Shoplifting: Brookpark Road

On Feb. 22, a Walmart employee observed a customer stealing from the Brookpark Road store.

An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said a woman had pushed a cart full of unpaid merchandise into the parking lot.

The Cleveland woman was arrested for attempting to steal more than $586 worth of items.

Threats: Richard Drive

On Feb. 22, a Richard Drive resident came to the police station to file a restraining order against her son, who had been making verbal threats over the phone. Police are investigating.

Drunken driving: Brookhigh Drive

On Feb. 21, police were dispatched to Brookhigh Drive regarding a single-car crash. An arriving officer located the vehicle and driver. The latter smelled like booze.

After failing a field sobriety test, the Brooklyn woman was arrested for drunken driving. She was also cited for reckless operation and failure to control.
