Last offseason we saw Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry swing a trade for Amari Cooper, giving Deshaun Watson a reliable target at the receiver position. This offseason, the Browns GM could look to repeat this mindset with another former first-round receiver who may be available for the right price.
Several reports have suggested the Denver Broncos could be open to parting with Jerry Jeudy, who’s been productive but not quite to the level expected from the 15th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Jeudy, 23, is said to be available for a return of a first-round pick or possibly a high-second-round pick plus a player, according to Sportsnaut’s Benjamin Allbright.
The Browns don’t have a first-round pick this season, thanks to the Watson trade, and their first selection isn’t until No. 42, which would qualify as a high-second-round pick. The next question could be whether they have any players the Broncos desire.
Jeudy likely hasn’t come close to reaching his ceiling yet, and the Browns may view this as an opportunity to boost their group of pass-catchers without experiencing any growing pains that a rookie may come with.

If the Browns manage to land Jeudy, he’d get to join fellow former Alabama star Amari Cooper, who’s been to four Pro Bowls in eight years.
With Donovan Peoples-Jones coming off a career-high 839-yard season, plus David Njoku’s steady presence, suddenly the Browns’ cast of weapons would look much more formidable heading into the draft. Yet, the Browns aren’t the only team interested in the 6-foot-1 receiver, with others such as the New England Patriots also linked to Jeudy. We’ll see if the Broncos get an offer to their liking.
