I-90 W at Dead Man’s Curve reopened after semi fire

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A crash that shut down part of I-90 west at Dead Man’s Curve is now clear, the Ohio Department of Transportation confirmed.

The incident took place just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, and smoke could be seen billowing up from the spot where a semi truck was reportedly involved in a fire. It was finally cleared after 5 p.m.

At the time drivers were asked to avoid the area. Some already on the road were able to get through the curve with one lane open while others were being routed to Route 2. Meanwhile, Ramp SR-2 E to I-90 W was completely closed.
