The Cleveland Browns turned heads around the NFL in 2020 when they traded for the mercurial Odell Beckham Jr., then a wide receiver with the New York Giants.

While Beckham showed flashes of his old self in Cleveland, the marriage with quarterback Baker Mayfield didn’t work as planned as the Browns never achieved the heights they imagined when they brought the former All-Pro to the banks of Lake Erie.

The Browns traded Beckham to the Los Angeles Rams, where he caught a touchdown in a Super Bowl victory despite tearing his ACL in the game.

Beckham is now one of the more interesting free agents left on the board. He recently said that while he’s not asking for $20 million a season, $4 million per year “ain’t enough.”

Beckham recently participated in a private workout for several teams. Among them were the Browns, who would reportedly leap at the chance to re-sign Beckham “if the price is right.”

Mary Kay Cabot, a longtime Browns beat writer with Cleveland.com, broke the news.

“The Browns attended Beckham’s private workout in Arizona, where he showed he can run. If the price is right, they won’t hesitate to sign him,” she said.

The Browns are certainly looking to bolster their receiving corps after another disappointing season. Only time will tell if the reunion takes place.
