Cleveland Browns look to have added another defender during free agency. Cornerback Mike Ford appears to be heading to the Browns and it looks to be a special team signing, with the potential to be depth on defense.
Ford spent last season with the Atlanta Falcons, where he played in 17 games and made two starts. Ford played 83 percent of the Falcons special teams snaps and 15 tackles and one tackle for a loss.
While in college, Ford played at Southeast Missouri State where he was an un-drafted free agent. Ford has background of playing in the slot and could provide cleveland with depth there and as their fifth cornerback.
Ford is still 27 years old and this will be his fourth NFL team. It looks like Ford could pair with Bubba Ventrone's special teams unit and have the chance to prove himself there.
