WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - A man was stabbed at an Ohio state park in Clermont County late Thursday, according to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Steve Leahy said the man was stabbed in Stonelick State Park and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. on Lake Drive inside the park, according to Clermont County dispatchers.

Ohio Department of Natural Resources says its officers were told the stabbing was preceded by two men getting into an altercation.

One of the men, Kevin Lawrence, used a knife to cut the victim, ODNR said.

Lawrence is charged with felonious assault, ODNR said Friday.

The victim is expected to be ok, according to an ODNR spokesperson.
