Victim identified, suspect arrested in Clemson murder

An arrest has been made following a murder in the Upstate last weekend. The Clemson Police Department responded to a reported shooting on Old Greenville Highway around 12:45 AM last Saturday.

Upon arrival, officers found a man who had been shot to death inside his vehicle. The Pickens County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 21 year old, Logan Nathanial Markis Williams of Anderson.

23 year old Khalil Rashaun Smith of Anderson was then identified as the suspect. He is charged with murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle and a weapons violation.

Police say, Smith was already being held in Anderson County on unrelated charges, when they obtained warrants on him for the charges related to the fatal shooting.
