Former Clemson QB And Other Athletes To Participate In WWE Tryout

WWE will hold a tryout ahead of WWE WrestleMania 39.

Adam Rittenberg of ESPN reports that former Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant and former Baylor basketball defensive standout Mark Vital, among 50 other current and former collegiate athletes, will participate in a tryout in Los Angeles ahead of WWE WrestleMania 39.

Rittenberg notes that the tryput includes participants from 37 schools and 13 sports. Among others, former Oklahoma linebacker Caleb Kelly, ex-Utah offensive lineman Bamidele Olaseni, former Baylor track athlete Morgan Stewart, 2020 Olympian Reggie Jagers, and Darrell Mason, a Division II national champion wrestler at Minnesota State, are also listed.

WWE has increasingly recruited collegiate athletes in recent years as part of the Next in Line (NIL Program). The company added 15 athletes to the program in January.
