A Clearfield woman was arrested on Sunday after she allegedly broke into a garage at a Centre County residence, defecated on the floor, stole a knife and drove away under the influence of drugs.

Christina E. Wilson, 30, admitted to entering the Worth Township garage because "she had succumbed to a bathroom emergency," state police at Rockview wrote in an affidavit of probable cause.

A homeowner on South High Street reported that at around noon he saw a woman and a man, later identified as 33-year-old Shawn A. Gehret, of Clearfield, enter the detached garage without permission then flee the scene in a Honda Pilot. The incident was also captured on a surveillance camera.

When the homeowner entered the garage, he "observed a fresh pile of what appeared to be human feces," a state trooper wrote. A Kobalt folding pocket knife had also been taken.

A short time later, police found Wilson and Gehret in the vehicle outside Lykens Market on Plank Road. The homeowner arrived and, without prompting, identified Wilson and Gehret as the people who entered the garage, according to the affidavit.

After Wilson admitted to defecating in the garage and stealing the knife, she displayed signs of impairment, police wrote. She told the trooper that she was in possession of a plastic straw that she used to snort prescription medication, according to the affidavit.

Gehret "admitted to being inside the garage to allow his fiancée to defecate on the ground," the trooper wrote.

Wilson is charged with a felony count of burglary, misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and summary counts of criminal mischief and careless driving.

Gehret is charged with one felony count of burglary.

Both were arraigned on Sunday night by District Judge Don Hahn, who set unsecured bail at $15,000 for each.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled for April 24.
