Hagerstown Man Killed In Crash
His motorcycle collided with a sedan. Hagerstown, Md (KM) A Hagerstown man was killed in a vehicle crash on Monday involving a motorcycle and a four-door sedan. Police say Francis Walter,35, was riding his bike eastbound through the intersection of Virginia Avenue and West Wilson Boulevard. . The operator of the sedan was making a left turn from West Wilson Boulevard to Virginia Avenue when the vehicle collided with the motorcycle.

House Fire In Washington County Displaces Residents
No injuries are reported. Hagerstown, Md (KM) The cause of a house fire in Washington County Wednesday evening is under investigation. At around 6:40 PM, fire fighters were dispatched to 19524 Portsmouth Road in Hagerstown for a two-story, single family home on fire. Maryland animal cruelty case involving dead and sick animals closed after defendant dies
An aggravated animal cruelty case involving several dead and sick cats and dogs last year has been closed out in court after the Hagerstown-area defendant died in early April. The case against Michael Scott Hyatt, 61, was officially ruled "abated by death" on Monday in Washington County Circuit Court, according to attorneys in the case.
