CLARKSVILLE, TN – The precepts of Civitan are knowledge, fellowship and service. In Clarksville, the century-plus Civitan club enjoys fellowship outside of the regular Wednesday meeting time. Several members have enjoyed meeting on Wednesdays to play trivia at their favorite local Tap House, located on Madison Street and owned by local firefighters.

The trivia team, known as The Graduates, has consistently placed (1st, 2nd or 3rd) in every game except for one (a loss that occurred because of an overthought answer). The team is a stable one of Civitan players that compete strongly against as many as nine other teams every Wednesday night. Several of the trivia team members enjoy meeting for dinner before the games and then relaxing in an atmosphere of fun and social interaction that isn’t always possible at their weekly meetings.

The 101-year-old club also participates in other fellowship opportunities by joining with and supporting other non-profits and Civitan clubs such as the YAIPak fundraiser, Central Civitan’s Lone Oak picnic, Tour D’Arts  and local Loaves & Fishes food initiative’s “Louisiana Saturday Night” fundraiser.
