CLARKSVILLE, TN – Three local middle school wrestlers, Janiya Johnson, 13, Ellen Anderson, 12, and Lexi Dean, 13, are set to compete on the AAU National Girls Wrestling Team this summer, when the best student athletes ages 15U from around the world face off during the 2nd Annual ISF World School Sports Games in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 1995, the ISF is an international non-profit sport organization, acting as the umbrella organization and governing body for national school sport organizations around the world, organizing sport, and educational events for youth from 6 to 18 years old.

The wrestlers are:

  • Janiya Johnson, 2023 Tennessee State Champion and AAU National Champion at 160lbs, is an All-American wrestler from Clarksville, competing in both boys and girls divisions for the Iron Knights Youth Wrestling Club of Clarksville and Kirkwood Middle School.
  • Lexi Dean, 13 Tennessee State Champion and a two-time AAU National Champion at 125lbs, is an All-American wrestler from Clarksville, competing in both boys and girl’s divisions for the Iron Knights Youth Wrestling Club of Clarksville and Kirkwood Middle School.
  • Ellen Anderson is a 5x All-American, 2x Tennessee State Champion, and AAU National Champion at 100lbs from Memphis, competing in both girls and boys divisions for Elite Wrestling Academy of Memphis.
