Ann Hackett Suddeath, age 88, of Clarksville, TN, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at her residence.

She was born on August 27, 1934, in Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of Joseph Hackett and Nada Vincent Hackett. She later moved to Florida. She graduated from Georgia Christian High School and from David Lipscomb University in 1957. That fall, she moved to New Jersey and taught school for 4 years. While there, she married Forest Suddeath, Jr. and had their first 2 children. They moved to Australia in 1963 where her husband preached and she served as a homemaker, supported him and had their 3rd child.

They returned to the United States in early 1971, she continued to teach Bible classes and support his efforts until she secured a teaching position at Byrns Darden Elementary where she taught the next 22 years. While there, she joined a number of education organizations and was recognized as an excellent teacher. After suffering a stroke in 1994, she continued to volunteer at Darden after resigning. Through the years, she and the family traveled to all 50 states and several foreign countries. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Trenton Crossing and also the St. Bethlehem Civitan Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Bradlee French; a sister-in-law, Juanita (Carl) Suddeath and brother-in-law, Richard (Sharon) Suddeath. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Forest; children, Lee (Paula) Suddeath, Kim (Alan) French and William Suddeath and grandchildren, Samari Suddeath, Christiana Suddeath, Christopher Suddeath, Laura (Brandon) Wenger, Alex (Danielle) French and 3 first cousins. She is also survived by her half-sister, Jill Sherrill, and a half-brother, Joseph Hackett, Jr.

Services will be held Friday, June 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home with Geoffrey Sikes Officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening 5 p.m.-8 p.m. and Friday 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
