CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We have dozens of nonprofits in Clarksville, supporting everything from hunger relief to youth mentoring to animal shelters.

Dozens of them are now gathered under one banner – ClarksvilleStrong.com – to connect donors and volunteers with organizations, and to connect people in need with the agencies that can help them.

The site, which is completely free to both users and charities, is an information warehouse so nonprofit supporters, volunteers and potential clients can see all of Montgomery County’s charity organizations in one place.

Nonprofits can highlight and continue to update their current needs – whether that be for goods, money or volunteers – so that people can see real ways they can get involved. Nonprofits can also include a link to their website and a direct link to their donation page.

For example:

Ajax Turner 50+ Center is a multi-purpose facility that offers activities for older adults such as ballroom dancing, guitar lessons, technology classes and a billiards room. They’re in need of donations and volunteers.

SAFE (Soldiers and Families Embraced) offers free counseling to active-duty service members and veterans, regardless of discharge status, active Clarksville-Montgomery County first responders and their families. They’re in need of donations and awareness.
