CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Visit Clarksville Board of Directors elected officers for its 2023-24 program year at its regularly scheduled board meeting on Thursday.

Elected to serve as chairman beginning July 1 is Jerry Allbert. Allbert has served multiple terms on the board and as chairman twice. He is a native Clarksvillian and attended Austin Peay State University. He is the owner of Russell Popcorn Company and former Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Director and County Commissioner. Allbert has been married for 45 years and has two children and six grandchildren.

Elected as vice-chairman is Charlie Koon, Senior Vice President/Director of Corporate & Military Business Development at F & M Bank.

Kyle Luther, market president of Traditions First Bank, will serve as immediate past chairman. “This completes my second time to serve as chairman,” said Luther. “I’ve enjoyed both times. Theresa and the staff make it an easy role.”

Fulfilling terms on the board are Luci Armitstead, a local family business owner, and Allan Moser, a local developer.

By virtue of their office, Allbert, Koon and Luther also serve on the board of directors of the Economic Development Council.

Two new board members will be appointed to three-year terms in coming weeks by Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts and Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden.
