UPDATE: Police recover body found at railroad tracks below Ted Crozier Boulevard

Update, 3:25 p.m.: Rescue crews used ropes and other gear to recover the body from below the bridge. The body was recovered at about 2:45 p.m.

The deceased apparently died after pulling over on the side of Ted Crozier.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a death that took place on Ted Crozier Boulevard at the railroad crossing near Dunlop Lane.

CPD did not release any additional details at this time.

The department has asked for the public to avoid the area for the time being. Traffic delays are expected if community members cannot avoid the area.

The road will be reopened as soon as possible, according to CPD.
