CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We have heavy rain coming in Friday night, followed by a sunny but chilly Saturday and Sunday.

Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible late Friday evening, with Clarksville getting hit between 9 and 11 p.m. with 1 to 1.5 inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Straight-line winds are the main threat, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, the NWS said. Southerly winds will strengthen Friday afternoon ahead of the severe weather with gusts near 40-45 mph.

After the storm, Saturday and Sunday should be clear but cold, with highs in the 60s and a Saturday night low of 35.
