CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Amazon Studios is planning to film a parade scene for their new movie Holland, MI here in April, and they are looking to Clarksville residents to fill in as extras.

The movie, directed by Mimi Cave, is a thriller centered on a woman who suspects her husband is cheating. She enters into an affair of her own before learning her husband’s true, dark secret life.

Details of the permit to film the parade are still being worked out with the city, Mayor Joe Pitts told Clarksville Now.

“We appreciate the interest by the Amazon production company to feature the beauty of our city in a movie,” Pitts said. “Disrupting commerce and the livelihoods of our many small-business owners and operators in our downtown is something we take seriously. We are now waiting on the production company to review and agree to the contract terms sent to them.”

Becoming an extra

Jenny Rodriguez, in charge of extras casting for Holland, MI, said they are looking for people of all genders, ages 6 to 75, to play parade goers.

The parade scene is set to film April 17-19. Extras will be compensated for their time and commitment to the project and are being paid $80 for eight hours of work each day, plus COVID tests (48 hours prior to working). Certain extras may also be compensated for costume fittings depending on the roles they are given.

Those interested in applying must be available for all three days of filming.
