CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This year’s ClarksvilleCon brought hundreds of comics, anime, sci-fi and fantasy fans to the Quality Inn off Exit 4 on Saturday.

Carmine De Santos, the show promoter, told Clarksville Now the convention started about five years ago and has grown ever since.

“It’s a smaller community, I love small communities,” De Santos said. “Clarksville, when we first came here five years ago, was a great crowd. And we keep growing the show and we love the community. It’s a great cosplay community.”

De Santos said they will continue to grow the event.

“We love this venue. We know we outgrew this venue, but we love it. And we’re always looking for new ideas,” said De Santos. “There’s so much to do. It’s not just a show for nerds anymore, it’s a show for families.”
