CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Public Library is looking for interested persons to fill upcoming open slots on its Board of Trustees. As the library moves forward with a north branch and continues to serve the community with engaging programming, and up-to-date technologies, the Board is pivotal in the life of the library.

Valuing diversity and inclusion, the Board seeks a variety of perspectives and viewpoints represented in its members. Prospective candidates will be asked to complete an application that will allow them to give their reasons for wanting to serve on the Library Board. Along with reason for wishing to serve on the board, candidates will be asked to provide professional and volunteer experience.

Applications are due Saturday, April 1. Any questions about the basic duties of the position will also be explained. The Board will present its initial slate of candidates for Trustee openings at the next Library Board meeting – 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, at the Library. All Library Board meetings are open to the public.
