Public skating opens this weekend at Ford Ice Center Clarksville
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Ford Ice Center at F&M Bank Arena is bringing public skating back to Clarksville starting this weekend. Public skating, open to everyone, will begin Friday, June 9, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Registration is $12, with or without skates, and free skate rental is available on site.
TWRA Youth Fishing Rodeo coming up June 10 at Liberty Park in Clarksville
CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) Youth Fishing Rodeo will take place Saturday, June 10 at the Liberty Park pond. Effective Tuesday, June 6, the pond will be closed to public fishing in preparation for the event. The remainder of Liberty Park will be open to the public leading up to, and during the event. The pond will reopen Saturday afternoon following the conclusion of the Fishing Rodeo.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – CDE Lightband is hosting this year’s Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo at Liberty Park. Opening ceremonies featured an American flag being parachuted on the field. Linemen competed to accomplish tasks at the top of poles set up in the park for the occasion.
Clarksville adult baseball league season kicks off
CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Clarksville adult baseball league kicked off their season on May 28 with two games. The Bucks were able to defeat the Comets 8-0 in game 1, and the defending champions, the Spartans, held off a late charge by the Dragons to win 7-3. For the rest of the season, one game will be held on Thursday nights with the first pitch at 6:15 p.m. and two games on Sundays with the first pitch at noon.

Austin Peay cheer team reinstated after 5-month suspension, new cheerleading coach hired

The team’s suspension comes to an end after Austin Peay Athletics appointed TJ Bettineschi as their new spirit coordinator and head cheerleading coach, according to their website.
