Area schools benefit from over $3M awarded by Tennessee Valley Authority
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Valley Authority has announced 106 schools will benefit from over $3 million in grants. The funding will be used for energy and learning environment upgrades, according to a release by the TVA. These grants are awarded as part of TVA’s School Uplift program, which has saved participating schools an average of 10% on their energy bills annually through behavioral changes alone.
