A Clarkson woman has been charged with drug trafficking following a traffic stop in Big Clifty.

Grayson County Deputy Wally Ritter was on stationary patrol in Big Clifty Wednesday morning at approximately 12:35 when he observed a vehicle with “multiple violations,” according to the arrest citation. He initiated a traffic stop, with the vehicle pulling into the Big Clifty post office at 50 Main Street (Hwy 62).

During a “consensual search” of the vehicle, Ritter wrote in the citation that he found over four ounces of methamphetamine and digital scales under the passenger seat, where 43-year-old Kim F. Gaither was seated.

Gaither was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was lodged in Grayson County Detention Center.
