CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — Both Clarksburg Post 13 and Bridgeport Post 68 opened their Senior American Legion seasons by sweeping weekend doubleheaders.
Post 13 defeated the North Berkeley Knights, 9-0 and 17-7, on Saturday.

Post 13 defeated the North Berkeley Knights, 9-0 and 17-7, on Saturday.
In the first game, Layton Wageman and Rylan Rock each allowed just a hit each, with Wageman striking out four in five innings and Rock going the final two frames.
Seth Gain tripled and drove in three runs, while Tanner Cook doubled with two RBIs and Cooper Floyd also drove in a pair.
Joey Aman, fresh off a strong game in the state tournament on Friday for Lewis County, singled, scored two runs and swiped two bases.
In the second game, Clarksburg used a eight-run second inning to take a decisive lead, then, after North Berkeley had crept back into the game at 10-7, cemented the five-inning mercy rule victory with a seven-spot in the bottom of the fifth.
Aman went 2 for 5 with two runs and an RBI, while Cook, Aiden Eddy, Luke Davisson and Dylan Richards all drove in two runs.
Preston Heslep finished 3 for 4 with a run and an RBI.
Josh Thomaschek allowed two earned runs on six hits in three innings with three strikeouts for the win.
Bridgeport thumped Marietta Post 64 on Sunday, 10-0 and 10-4.
Cole Mooney (two innings, one hit, three strikeouts), Rowen Michaelis (two innings, one hit, one strikeout) and Dylan Duvall (three innings, two hits, three strikeouts) combined for the shutout in the opener.
Mark Biafore led the offense with two hits and four RBIs and Aidan Paulsen was 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs out of the leadoff spot.
Conner Blake also drove in two runs and Zach Rohrig scored twice.
In the second game, Ashton Curry picked up the win with three innings of scoreless relief and Ben Bifano also posted 2 1/3 innings without a run to close it out.
Duvall tripled and drove in two runs, while Blake was 2 for 2 with two runs and two RBIs.
Rohrig and Jack Gould both doubled, with Rohrig and Mooney scoring two runs.
Bridgeport trailed 4-0 after two innings, but scored four in the third, five in the sixth and one in the seventh to pull away.
Clarksburg (2-0) is at Buckhannon on Tuesday at 7 p.m., while Bridgeport will play in the WV Patriot Baseball Tournament on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
