Monrovia school board makes personnel changes
MONROVIA — The Monrovia school board made several decisions regarding personnel at its meeting Monday night. Last month, the board unanimously approved Monroe-Gregg Superintendent Kirk Freeman’s recommendation to appoint Moriah Crane as the district’s treasurer and director of finance. The board officially appointed her to the position at Monday’s meeting. Crane attended the meeting and was given a warm welcome by the board.
A Deadly Outage: Crash claims 3 lives, leaves Pasadena neighborhood in darkness
On May 11, numerous residents in a Pasadena neighborhood found themselves without power following an incident that claimed three lives, according to police reports. The crash involved a white 2018 Tesla Model 3 carrying six occupants. Upon arrival, responders discovered that the driver and two male passengers had been fatally injured. Three additional passengers sustained life-threatening injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Law enforcement officers secured the scene, and the Pasadena Traffic Section’s Major Accidents Investigation Team arrived to conduct a thorough inquiry.
