Look: UC Basketball's Ody Oguama, John Newman III Named 'Monsters of the Week'

Cincinnati has plenty of new faces on the 2023-24 roster.

CINCINNATI — UC men's basketball is back at it in the Monster Factory as the roster bulks up and gains strength for the Big 12 schedule this coming season.

Associate AD of sports performance, Michael Rehfeldt, shouted out two veterans as the "Monsters of the Week," forward Ody Oguama and guard John Newman III.

The latter is a great sign for UC's guard depth this season. Newman is going to be a key piece of that rotation with Mika Adams-Woods leaving the team to make way for Aziz Bandaogo.

Cincinnati cannot afford much attrition in its guard ranks and Newman can help buoy that.
