CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A suspect is in custody after SWAT situation in South Fairmount early Friday.

The intersection of Queen City Avenue and Westwood Avenue, which was closed during the standoff, reopened by 6:15 a.m.

It all started over a neighbor dispute in the 1700 block of Westwood Avenue at about 4 a.m., according to District 3 Sgt. Dennis Zucker.

Two neighbors fought when one refused to come to fix a woman’s toilet, and police were told she threatened to shoot him, Sgt. Zucker said.

She then threatened to shoot police if they knocked on her door, he said, and refused to come out of her home when officers attempted to talk to her.

Police used a megaphone to try to coax the suspect out, but she just yelled back through closed windows.

The SWAT team used a flashbang device and took her into custody without further incident around 6 a.m., Sgt. Zucker confirms.

Her name and the charges she will face were not immediately available.
