CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A trial date has been set for a man accused of stealing a school bus and leading police on a chase.

According to court documents, 32-year-old Chad Murdock stole the empty bus in Cincinnati at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Westwood Tuesday morning.

He was located by Indiana State Police, who say they pursued him as he drove through Dearborn, Decatur, and Shelby Counties.

Murdock reportedly went off the road several times during the chase and into multiple fields and yards.

After a little over an hour, officers were able to deflate the tires on the bus and box it in while driving through a field.

The driver stopped the bus near County Road 25 East, just south of Shelbyville, Indiana, and was arrested.

No one was injured, but Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles says "multiple police vehicles and property were damaged."

Murdock faces multiple charges, including vehicle theft and resisting police. His trial will be held Aug. 28 in Decatur County Court.
