Three-Star 2024 DL Jowhar Franklin Puts UC Among Top-Six Schools

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati made the final six schools for 2024 three-star defensive lineman Jowhar Franklin out of John Curtis (Louisiana).
Florida State, Tennessee, Miami (FL), Georgia Tech, and Texas A&M make up the other teams.
According to On3, Franklin is the 20th-ranked player in Louisiana and the 88th-ranked defensive lineman.
On3 has Florida State (38.9%) and Miami (34.1%) as the most likely landing spots for Franklin. Cincinnati is at the bottom at (2.2%).
Franklin is a behemoth in the middle at 6-foot-3, 310 pounds.
He likes to operate out of a two-point stance in a staggered alignment. His raw power won't be as impactful at the next level, but he's a great tackler and has shown a decent ability to get off blocks with quick hands.
Franklin will need to get a little faster and lower on his initial contact play-to-play, but there is a lot to like from the Louisiana native.
