Bengals Take Darnell Wright and Dawand Jones In PFF/NFL.Com Mock Drafts
CINCINNATI — NFL.com and PFF released their latest 2023 NFL Mock Drafts, and both had Cincinnati taking an offensive tackle.
Daniel Jeremiah matched the Bengals with Tennessee's Darnell Wright in the NFL.com mock.
"Wright would plug and play at right tackle," Jeremiah wrote. "Recent LT signee Orlando Brown Jr. is only 26 years old. Brown and Wright could hold down the bookend spots to protect Joe Burrow for quite a long time. Also, this pick would allow the Bengals to deal Jonah Williams for draft capital now that he has requested a trade."
Wright is the 32nd-best player on the consensus big board and the fifth-best offensive tackle.
Sam Monson and Steve Palazzolo picked the next player down on the consensus big board: Ohio State offensive tackle Dawand Jones.
"He has to be put in a certain role," they wrote. "But in that, he could dominate. If you have a mobile quarterback, this is the guy you want at right tackle."
Jones is a massive human at 6-foot-8, 374 pounds. He is ranked 36th overall and sixth among offensive tackles.
