BEFORE THOSE FOUR SHOTS WERE FIRED. DANIELLE, MIKE, A CRAZY SITUATION UNFOLDING HERE AT THE KROGER AND HYDE PARK PLAZA AND UGLY IN THAT VIDEO. YOU SEE THAT FIGHT STARTING IN THE PRODUCE SECTION. THEN IT SPILLS OUT HERE INTO THE PARKING LOT. AS I MENTIONED, IT’S ALL CAPTURED ON VIDEO. TAKE A LOOK AT IT. MARCH 25TH OF LAST YEAR, SECURITY CAMERA SHOW KEVIN ON HOW WORKING AT THE KROGER IN HYDE PARK PLAZA. THINGS ESCALATE QUICKLY IN THE STORE’S PRODUCE SECTION. WATCH AS A MAN DRESSED IN ALL BLACK SNEAKS UP BEHIND HOUSE AND WHACKS HIM IN THE HEAD. COURT DOCUMENTS DESCRIBE IT AS A SUCKER PUNCH OF EPIC PROPORTIONS. THE TWO MEN EXCHANGE WORDS. W OH TO BE A T, YOU LEARNED THAT THE MAN WAS APPARENTLY UPSET WITH KEVIN BECAUSE DAYS EARLIER KEVIN ATTEMPTED TO TALK TO THE MAN’S GIRLFRIEND. A STORE SECURITY CAMERA SHOWS THE MEN LEAVING AT THE SAME TIME. BUT THE VIOLENCE CONTINUES OUTSIDE IN THE PARKING LOT. COURT DOCUMENTS SAY HELL’S GRABBED A GUN OUT OF HIS CAR. YOU SEE THAT ALTERCATION IN THE UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER? POLICE SAY HE FIRED HIS GUN FOUR TIMES AND HIT THE MAN IN THE UPPER BACK. THE SENTENCING MEMORANDUM SAYS THE MAN WAS ONLY SLIGHTLY GRAZED BY ONE OF THE BULLETS, LEAVING LITERALLY ONLY A SCRATCH. THE PROSECUTORS OFFICE CONFIRMS TO WLWT THAT HE HAS PLEADED GUILTY TO FELONIOUS ASSAULT IN THE SHOOTING AND HAVING A WEAPON WHILE UNDER DISABILITY. NOW, SENTENCES FOR BOTH CHARGES WILL RUN CONCURRENTLY, SO THAT WILL BE MEAN. HOUSE WILL BE BEHIND BARS BETWEEN 5 TO 6 YEARS.

Surveillance video shows what led to a 2022 shooting involving an employee outside a Kroger in Cincinnati's Hyde Park Plaza.It happened on March 25, 2022, when officers responded to the Hyde Park Plaza Kroger located at 3760 Paxton Ave. in Oakley at around 4:40 p.m. after receiving a call from someone saying a man was shooting at another man in the parking lot.According to court documents, the shooter, identified as Kevion Howze, 24, of Evanston, was allegedly working as an employee of Kroger when he got into a fight with a person inside the store.On Monday, the Hamilton County Prosecutors' office released a video of the alteration that started in the produce section.In the video, Howze is seen working when a man sneaks up behind Howze and hits him in the head. Court documents describe it as "a sucker punch of epic proportions."WLWT confirmed that "...(the man) was apparently upset with Kevion because days earlier Kevion attempted to talk to (the man's) girlfriend."The store's security camera shows the men leaving simultaneously, but the violence continues outside in the parking lot.Court documents say Howze grabbed a gun from his car and chased down the man that hit him.Police say Howze fired his gun four times. The sentencing memorandum says the man "...was only slightly grazed by one of the bullets, leaving literally only a scratch."According to the prosecutor's office, Howze pleaded guilty to felonious assault in the shooting and was sentenced to five to six years in jail. Howze also pleaded guilty to having weapons while under disability. The judge sentenced him to 18 months, and that time will run concurrently with the felonious assault charge.
