The Bearcats are busy trying to get the roster ready for the Big 12.

CINCINNATI — The college basketball transfer portal is open and UC already reached out to a Butler guard , among a few others.

Let's dive into who the program's reportedly contacted over the past week:

Former Temple center Jamille Reynolds (10.1 Pts, 5.4 Reb, 0.7 Ast) is a player of interest. Reynolds transferred from UCF to Temple and has two years of eligibility left.

He is currently On3's 63rd-best transfer available .

Joe Tipton reports UC is in contact with Pittsburgh forward John Hugley.

He appeared in eight games this season before sitting out for mental health reasons. Hugley led the team in scoring (14.8 PPG) and rebounding (7.9 RPG) last season. He was a four-star recruit in 2020 and has three years of eligibility left.

The forward is currently On3's sixth-best transfer available

Tipton also reports the Bearcats are in the mix with Lamar freshman guard Nate Calmese (17.6 Pts, 2.5 Reb, 2.0 Ast).

He was the nation's second-leading freshman scorer behind Brandon Miller and did it on 48% shooting from the field. He has three years of eligibility left and is On3's 49th-best available transfer.

Next, Travis Branham reports UC reached out to Florida guard Kowacie Reeves (8.5 Pts, 2.6 Reb, 0.5 Ast). Reeves was a top-45 recruit in the 2021 class and has two years of eligibility left.

He is On3's 41st-ranked player available as of this writing.

Continuing the list, Jake Weingarten reports contact with Bryant guard Charles Pride (14.6 Pts, 6.1 Reb, 2.4 Ast). Cincinnati got a first-hand look at him when Pride dropped 23 points in the Bearcats win earlier this season.

The All-America East second-team player could be a nice veteran bridge for the Big 12. He has one year of eligibility left.

We round out the big contact list with High Point guard Zach Austin (14.1 Pts, 5.4 Reb, 1.3 Ast).

The 2021-22 Big South Rookie of the Year has two years of eligibility left and is a long wing that can contribute on both ends. He is On3's 40th-best available transfer.
