WASHINTON COUNTY, Fla (WDHN) — Three young adults from Chipley have been arrested and charged in connection with several vehicle break-ins and burglaries.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, June 2, patrol deputies and investigators with the WCSO opened an investigation following several reports of vehicle burglaries, and after viewing Home Surveillance Systems from victims’ houses, developed three suspects.
A release from the WCSO says that with the help of the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, the suspects were quickly located in a Holmes County hotel along with items linked to the burglaries.
The suspects, identified as 20-year-old Seth Scott Chambers, 18-year-old Joshua Watford, and 20-year-old Hazel Weathers, were arrested and charged.

- Charged with Grand Theft of a Vehicle, Grand Theft of a Firearm, four counts of Larceny of a Credit Card, six counts of Burglary, Burglary of a Conveyance Armed, two counts of Larceny Petit Theft in the first degree, and Unlawful Possession of Victims’ Credit Cards
- Joshua Watford, of Chipley
- Charged with Grand Theft of a Vehicle, four counts of Burglary, two counts of Larceny of a Credit Card, two counts of Larceny Petit Theft in the first degree, and Grand Theft of a Firearm.
- Hazel Weathers, of Chipley
- Charged with Grand Theft of a Firearm, four counts of Accessory After the fact in degree felony, four counts of Accessory Before the Fact, three counts of Burglary, two counts of Larceny Petit Theft in the first degree, Unlawful Possession of Victims’ Credit Cards and Larceny of Credit Cards.
One of the vehicles reported stolen has not been recovered and authorities say the suspects took it out of state.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
